James and Everingham Bursary at University of Queensland in Australia 2014

The James and Everingham Bursary founded in 1975 by a gift to the Queensland Agricultural College made by Dr N P Everingham in memory of Anne Elizabeth James and Stephan Nixon Everingham. Anne Elizabeth James was enrolled in the Associate Diploma of Applied Science Food Technology at the College in 1972/1973 and Stephan Everingham graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Applied Science Rural Technology in 1972. The bursary was formalised by Senate in 1999.

Eligibility: The bursary is open to financially poor students enrolled in programs relating to food technology or rural technology.

  • Bursary is available to persons enrolled in programs relating to food technology or rural technology.
  • Bursary is available for pursuing undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland in Australia.
  • Australian, New Zealand or International student can apply this undergraduate bursary.
  • One undergraduate bursary will be awarded.
  • Bursary will be paid in twice-yearly installments within a month of the semester 1 and the semester 2 census dates: Semester 1 census date: 31 March each year Semester 2 census date: 31 August each year
  • The amount of the bursary is approximate $500.
  • The award of the bursary is based on academic merit and financial need.
  • Candidates can apply via online.
  • The application deadline is April 1, 2014.
