For Malaysian Students, Komuniti MyEG & HELP Foundation Programme Scholarships, 2019

The Komuniti MyEG – HELP Foundation Programme Scholarship is a joint initiative by Komuniti MyEG, the CSR arm of My E.G. Services Berhad (MyEG) and HELP University in an effort to identify and assist deserving candidates who are keen to enrol in a Foundation programme that will allow them to pursue an undergraduate degree.

The Foundation in Arts and Foundation in Science programmes offered by the HELP Matriculation Centre are fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). These programmes are recognised by universities in Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the United States of America and other countries.

This flexible, one-year programme offers a broad-based education providing exposure to a variety of disciplines, thus allowing students to make an informed choice when deciding on a future career. Intake date is on 6 September 2018.

Entry Requirements

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Aged 25 years and below
  • Meets HELP Foundation and English requirements (refer below)
  • Active in sports and extra-curricular activities
  • Not a recipient of any other scholarship or award from other organisations or foundations or bonded by any educational institution or organization

Foundation in Arts Requirement

  • 5 SPM/SPMV credits including a pass in Bahasa Melayu and History
  • 5 O-Level credits
  • 3 Bs in UEC
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government

Foundation in Science Requirement

  • 5 SPM/SPMV credits. At minimum a credit in Mathematics and 2 Science subjects (Biology/Chemistry/Physics) and a pass in Bahasa Melayu and History
  • 3 Bs in UEC. At least a credit in Mathematics and 2 Science subjects (Biology/Chemistry/Physics)
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government

HELP University English Requirement

  • A credit in English from SPM/ SPMV/ O-Level/ UEC
  • TOEFL – 550
  • IELTS – Band 5.5
  • Other English qualifications will also be considered on a case-by-case basis 

Terms & Conditions

  1. The Scholarship awarded is in the form of tuition fee and/or miscellaneous fee waiver.
  2. The Scholarship does not include fees for referral subjects / repeated subjects/ examination fees/ franchise fees/ English language course that is not part of the programme.
  3. The Scholarship awarded is neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash.
  4. The Scholarship is available to Malaysians only.
  5. The award of the Scholarship requires recipients to meet entry requirements of the programme.
  6. Applicants may only accept one Scholarship at any one time.
  7. The final decision to grant a Scholarship is at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee at HELP University.
  8. The terms and conditions for the Komuniti MyEG – HELP Foundation Programme Scholarship are correct at the time of printing and may be modified/amended from time to time as deemed reasonable and appropriate by Komuniti MyEG/HELP University.
  9. Komuniti MyEG and HELP University reserve the right to involve the Scholarship recipients in interviews/advertisements/social media postings or other publicity-related activities for promotional purposes.
  10. Scholarship awarded may be terminated at any time in the event of misconduct or failure to meet the required academic grades. In such an event, successful recipients must reimburse the total amount of scholarship received up to the termination date.

How to apply:

  1. All sections must be completed.
  2. Please prepare a set of the following documents (Original & Photocopy) to be submitted if selected:
    • Certified copies of all academic qualifications (e.g. award certificate and transcript)
    • A passport-sized photograph
    • A copy of your MyKad
  3. Copies of documents and photographs submitted will be filed for our record purposes and will not be returned, even if the applicant decides not to continue with his/her application after submission. All information and documents will be kept in confidence and in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
  4. Failure to comply with these procedures may result in a delay in processing this application.
