Degree Level: Masters level program
Available Subjects: Environmental Studies at masters level are available under the scholarship. The Scholarship is available for full-time Master’s or Doctoral degree study in the Faculty of Science within one of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Entomology, Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Ichthyology, Microbiology, Physics, Botany or Zoology.
The topic of the research should be one which will contribute to the preservation or enhancement of the environment.
Scholarship Benefits:
This Scholarship to the value of R55 000 for one year and is tenable at Rhodes University and is awarded normally on an annual basis from interest accruing on a donation received from Dr Ian Mackenzie, a previous Chancellor of the University.
Eligible Nationalities: Only South African Students
Eligibility Criteria: The Scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the University to applicants with a meritorious academic record.
