STP of Pakistan Railways Traffic and Commercial Group

The Specialized Training Program for the Railways Group is held in the Railways Academy at the Walton road, Lahore. The duration for the course is 10 months. The program is divided in to three phases. In the first phase theory is taught to the probationary officers for three months. The second phase is of field attachment and has a length of 5 and half months. The third phase is of final assessment and has a duration of 1 and half months. The subjects that are taught are as follows:

· Electric Traction, Train Lighting
· Vacuum Brake and C&W safety
· Special Lectures
· First Aid
